Village Tavern   

If you have a big group of friends who all like to do different things, think of the Village Tavern as your ideal bar. The Tavern is spread out, so mingling is not only an option, it's necessary. Tell the dancers in your group to head upstairs to hang out with the performers -ranging from cover bands to DJs to more independent fare. There is also music downstairs on occasion in the back half of the bar. Here, pool sharks can also have fun, as can those just looking to play a few video games by themselves. The front of the bar is more for exchanging gossip and hanging out with the bartender. Large TVs hang everywhere, so there's always something to divert your attention. (CM)
