Detail: Ko-Sho is well known to a small group of downtowners who love traditional Japanese food. The Gyoza (sublime shrimp dumplings pan-fried until crispy) is a good starter. Try their tasty and fun-to-eat Shabu-Shabu (thin slices of raw beef cooked tableside on a burner in a furiously bubbling broth. There’s also good-quality sushi and sashimi. Lunch specials are a great value. Ko-Sho is low-key and pretty quiet most of the time. But what it lacks in ambiance and buzz is overcome by its tasty, traditional food and friendly, professional service. Entrees: $13-$16.
